OUR LEGACY

From the November 1908 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"My peace I leave with you."
How true the Master's word!
The threat'ning storms of life,
By human passions stirred,

May rage for one brief day—
May rage and cease to be,
As when the Christ-mind stilled
The waves of Galilee.

But over error's din
There falls a blessed calm.
The wail of pain and woe
Gives place to victor's psalm.

The harmony divine
Of God's most gracious plan
Is seen and understood
By every Christlike man.

Oh, marvelous the gift
That makes all fear to cease.
The world can ne'er bestow
This healing gift of peace.
