In deep gratitude for the benefits received through Christian Science, and hoping to encourage some other poor sufferer, I offer this testimony. I had suffered for some time with a serious kidney disease, for which the attending doctor prescribed a very powerful drug. Without this drug I was supposed to be helpless, and not only my friends and family but also acquaintances were greatly alarmed at my condition. I had frequent fainting spells, and my weight was greatly reduced.
I appreciate the doctor's kindness and all he tried to do, but as my wife was informed that I could continue in this way only for a short time, she sought the Christian Science church as a last resort. We had met a practitioner years before, but like many others paid little heed to his statements. The wonderful message of divine Love which my wife heard at the church and brought me, together with the reading of Science and Health, enabled me to see clearly that man made in the image and likeness of God could not be diseased, and in a few days I discontinued medicine, diet, and everything pertaining to materia medica, ate anything I desired, and began to improve at once. I am back to my normal weight and enjoy good health.
Not only for the physical healing, but for the help the truth has been to me and mine in every way. I am more grateful than words can express, first to God, then to Mrs. Eddy for leading us in the way the Master showed.
