I feel it a privilege to tell of the benefits we have received through the study of Christian Science. I am grateful for some understanding of the power of Truth, and for the opportunity to study and learn more each day of its application in healing.
Before taking up the study of Christian Science I was very antagonistic to what in my ignorance I thought it to be, but about: six years ago I found that man's extremity is indeed God's opportunity. I then accepted the teachings of the Christian Science text-book, and began to study it as a Science and to apply its rules. Through this application, a harmonious condition has been brought about, both in the home and the business field. My husband was addicted to the liquor habit, which had caused us much distress, physically and mentally. Through the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, this appetite was entirely destroyed. Instead of mental anguish, there is peace and harmony. Surely no one can afford to be without the help and comfort which we receive through the study of this book.
Could any person be less than grateful to the one who has made possible the practical demonstration of the power of Truth. Mrs. Eddy has given it to the world, notwith-standing all the material conditions that seemed to be against her. She who was brave and true enough to stand alone against the world of materialism deserves our deepest gratitude, and if we are stanch enough to live what we are taught in our text-book, so that those with whom we come in contact will also fall in line, the world will be revolutionized through this healing truth, which does remove every discordant condition, whatever its name or nature.
