It is my desire to add my testimony as to the results of a radical reliance upon God for healing power. Until I understood something of Christian Science, I had been a semi-invalid for seven years, and never quite well. For ten years I had worn lenses prescribed for two different forms of eye trouble. I had passed through five operations, three major and two minor, and had been in a hospital seven times. After the last operation, in February, 1909, I was told by the surgeon that two more would be necessary soon, before I could expect to be comfortable.
My eyes were healed in two days after I commenced to read about Christian Science. I laid my glasses aside that day and have never worn them since, although I never used my eyes before that time as much or under such adverse conditions (poor light, night work, etc.) as I have since. I was healed of an attack of rheumatism, also of several attacks of a severe throat trouble. My other ailments have practically disappeared; I have had no further operations, and certainly do not believe that any will be necessary. I am perfectly comfortable, my health is vastly improved, and I am able to attend to my daily work without interruption or discomfort.
For all these, and many other blessings, I am truly thankful to God, who brought me to a knowledge of Christian Science, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who made that knowledge possible.— Boston, Mass.
