I wish to tell of the quick relief experienced in the case of an accident that happened to me recently when near my home. I was run over by an automobile, receiving a severe gash in my head and being bruised and considerably shaken up. I was helped to arise and assisted to my home. A Christian Science practitioner, who was at once notified, gave me absent treatment, and later called upon me, giving me another treatment. Meanwhile the surgeon and his assistant arrived and took several stitches in my head. After telephoning the practitioner, I experienced scarcely any pain, even while the stitches were being taken. The surgeon kept watch of the healing, and pronounced it perfect. I think he was surprised that the wound healed so rapidly, for I was confined to the house less than three weeks.
Before coming into Science I was afflicted with a severe cold and cough at the end of every winter, but the last few years I have been free from this trouble. I am sixty-four years of age and have been in better health the last five years than ever before, taking no medicine and relying wholly on Christian Science. Although I have always been a reader of the Bible, I now understand it better, and read it with greater enjoyment than formerly. I am grateful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her loving gift to mankind.— Stamford, Conn.
