Since Christian Science was first introduced into our home we have had many demonstrations of its healing power. My mother was the first to benefit by it. Ever since I can remember she had been an invalid, and for years had depended upon material remedies. While reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, she left off taking drugs and has used no medicine since, now some two years. About fifteen years ago we bought her a bath chair, as she was unable to walk outdoors owing to a weak heart and shortness of breath. We have disposed of the chair, however, and although sixty-nine years old, she can take quite long walks and is in better health than in the past.
My little girl was cured of a serious nervous ailment in a few weeks by absent treatment. My oldest boy was healed of pleurisy in a few days. He began to improve as soon as the practitioner took up treatment, though he had been in great pain before, and he was soon completely healed. The same practitioner treated my youngest boy, who was suffering from swollen glands and an car trouble, and both of these ailments disappeared entirely in a short time. My wife has been freed from an acute throat affection and has been in better health ever since she received Christian Science treatment. Formerly I was continually getting different remedies for coughs and colds from the chemist, but since coming to Christian Science I have bought no medicine, and we have had less illness in our family than in all the years before.
