When Christian Science came to me my baby was nine months old, and while he was a healthy child I was hardly able to be up at all. A friend had asked me why I did not see a practitioner, but I knew nothing about Christian Science. On consulting a doctor I was told that my baby would have to be weaned and taken from me until I was stronger, and perhaps an operation would have to follow. The thought of being separated from him at this time was too much, so after a severe headache one night, I sought a Christian Science practitioner. I immediately began to get better. The condition that would probably have called for an operation under materia medica a was absolutely healed in two days, and all the lesser difficulties, such as headaches, have also been overcome.
I am perfectly well, and can care for my baby as he should be cared for. All of his needs since my healing have been met by Science. His only ailment up to this time had been a bowel trouble, and he was healed of it as soon as I took up this study. I am very thankful for what this knowledge will mean to my little one and to me in the days to come. I had studied home nursing in college and felt sure of what I was doing, when in fact I did not know at all. Now I am confident there will never be any more drugs used in our family.
I am not only thankful for the healing power of Truth, but also for the spiritual understanding of the Bible. I have been a church-member for a number of years, also a leader of the Y. W. C. A. while in college, and though I tried to read the Bible as a duty, yet I could never understand it. Now I do understand it, and I love to read it as I never have before.
