The lame man at the temple, when he walked
After long years of listless lethargy,
Praised God for everything. He walked, and talked
Of God's great gifts; his feet and ankle-bones
At once received their strength, and he was free.
Yea, all the people saw him praising good,
And wondered why this one had ceased his moans
Who had sought alms so long. They understood
God as they saw him leap and walk, with song
And ceaseless praise to Love, and gratitude.
