With a sense of deepest gratitude I write of the many blessings that have come into my life through Christian Science in the last three years. One of the most wonderful was the healing of our eight-months-old son of what doctors would have pronounced pneumonia and peritonitis with very grave complications. I was a professional nurse before my marriage a few years ago. The night the baby became sick we asked a Christian Science practitioner for help, and seemingly with all odds against him he took the case. The child appeared to grow worse for several days and nights, and to mortal sense his life hung in the balance, but we held steadfastly to the truth, and worked diligently. From about the seventh day he began to show signs of recovery and the fever left him. His improvement kept up and soon he was like himself again, laughing and playing. In the week that followed he became so much better that we were able to take him to church the following Sunday. At the present time he is as strong and healthy a baby as one could find anywhere. His sickness occurred in April, 1917.
This is but one of our many demonstrations; blood poisoning and many other seemingly serious ailments having been overcome through knowing the truth about them. My earnest desire is that this testimony may help some struggling brother along in the path which leads us to a clear understanding of God and man's relation to Him.—Norfolk, Neb.
