The time has surely come for me to bring my tithe into the storehouse and to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science and for the understanding I have of it. I never cared for religion very much, and so resisted Christian Science as long as I could. For some time, however, I had suffered from heart disease, and one day when I had a very severe attack I asked for help from a practitioner. I was healed, and there has been no return of the trouble. Then I began to go to the Christian Science church, also to read the Lesson-Sermons and the literature; but I did not progress very fast, as I seemed to find so many other things to interest me more. Gradually I became more interested in the study, until now this wonderful teaching means everything to me.
My little boy knows absolutely nothing about doctors or medicine, having been reared in this truth. When he was a few months old a skin disease manifested itself. I tried to make the demonstration, but fear became so great that I again asked for help, and he was beautifully healed by absent treatment. He was attacked by an acute throat trouble, and I am grateful to say he was healed in less than a week.
My family and I have been greatly blessed by applying this truth in all the difficulties that have come up, and some financial problems worked out greatly to our interest. Last winter I was healed of a very severe illness through the faithful work of a practitioner in a much shorter time than would probably have been the case under a doctor's care. Among other manifestations were internal abscesses which seemed very painful, but the condition was perfectly overcome.
