Ten years ago several physicians told me that I would never be a well woman again; that I had two incurable diseases, namely, valvular heart trouble and a vaginal tumor which had been forming for seven or eight years. I was very much discouraged, as I had two children to bring up, and I could not have an operation performed as the condition of my heart would not allow it. One morning a friend asked me why I did not try Christian Science. That very day I went to a practitioner and was cured instantaneously of the heart trouble, and in two weeks the abnormal growth was gone.
At one time my boy, twelve years old then, ran a rusty nail almost through his foot. By realizing the truth for him he was able to wear his shoe and go back to school in three days. While working in the hayfield one hot day he was bitten on the wrist by a poisonous spider; it was three or four hours before he could come home and by that time he was to mortal sense dangerously ill, a serious condition of the kidneys having set in. With Christian Science help, however, he was able to go to work in five days. During the influenza epidemic my daughter came home one evening with all the symptoms, but I treated her and she lost only one half day from work.
If every one who is suffering from disease of any nature would honestly investigate Christian Science, what a transformation would take place in the world! I thank God for this healing truth and for His messenger, Mrs. Eddy, who gave to the world this new-old religion.—
