I derive so much benefit each week from the testimonies of healing that I would like to add mine, hoping it will encourage some earnest seeker for Truth. I have been studying Christian Science for the last six years; it has met all my needs, and has taught me to study the Bible every day whereas before I very seldom read it at all and when I did it never seemed to be of any help to me but now no matter what the problem is I can always find help in the Bible through the teachings of Christian Science. If I were called upon to give up everything else I have I would gladly do so sooner than part with my copy of Science and Health, for I know that all I really need will be supplied, and I get more real pleasure from the study of Science and Health than from anything else, I have not taken any medicine since coming into a knowledge of Christian Science, and have had some seemingly big problems to meet, but I have depended on Science for every need and it has never failed me.
My little boy now four years of age, was born under Science treatment. To comply with the law we had to call in a physician, who said I would have to have an operation, but through the realization of the truth the baby was born one hour before the time set for leaving for the hospital. He is now a big, healthy boy and has never tasted any medicine. All his ills have been overcome through Christian Science.
The doctor also said that I had a tumor, but with treatment from a Christian Science practitioner it soon disappeared. We have experienced wonderful protection at different times. When my daughter had scarlet fever neither one of the younger children had it. I took all the care of her, and thanks to the work of a faithful practitioner I was kept perfectly well. I have seen many healings in my family and I am so thankful we live in an age when we have Science to meet all our needs. It removes all fear and I can truthfully say that no matter what sickness may come I know that God is All-power and that He is willing at all times to help us if we will but let Him. We have had many wonderful healings in our family in addition to that of scarlet fever, some of which were of influenza, hives, measles, colds, and earache. Many times when the children seemed ill I would take Science and Health and read to them and try to realize the truth and they would soon recover, whereas in former days it meant daily visits from a doctor and often for some length of time. I have so many things to be grateful for but space will not permit the enumeration of all the blessings we have received. I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science, and for all the literature; also to all the faithful practitioners who are always so ready to help in time of need.
