Gratitude for what a slight knowledge of Christian Science has done for me makes me want to tell my experience, hoping that it may be of help to some beginner. Three years ago a dear friend became interested in Christian Science and was so helped by it that she was keen to tell me what she had learned. I was ill and frail and quite willing to be helped. We were together for several weeks and read and studied each day. Some months later Christian Science services were started in our town and I attended regularly, and studied the Lesson-Sermons faithfully. My health slowly improved until I became stronger than I had ever been. Last winter I had what seemed to be the beginning of a severe cold. I went to bed at night resolving to help myself, and to be cured. All night long I declared, and tried to realize, the truth. In the morning the cold was practically gone and I had no more trouble from it.
My heart is so full of love and gratitude that I want to tell this experience of mine so that others may he strengthened in faith and understanding as I have been.
