Some time ago I was saved from what might have been a fatal accident through the protecting power of God, as understood through the teaching of Christian Science. I was driving in a taxi with two friends, and was seated with my back to the driver. Our cab skidded as it shot quickly around a corner, and I was thrown against the door on my left. The lock was defective, and the door burst open, and I was thrown headlong out into the road, whilst the taxi went on with my two friends. I lost consciousness for a few moments and then, regaining it found myself in the taxi, seated between my friends and repeating the ninety-first psalm. I was driven to the house where one of these friends was boarding, and was put to bed. Upon being asked whether I wished to see a doctor or a Christian Science practitioner I of course chose the latter. He came and most lovingly helped me. The next day I dressed myself quite unaided and went to my house. I was still having treatment and on the following Wednesday evening went to the testimony meeting. A week from that date I gave my testimony of this divine protection at the meeting.
This is only one of many experiences of God's power to heal. Words are inadequate to express the debt I owe to our Leader. Mrs. Eddy, for her fidelity and consecration in giving us this Science of the Christ, with which to meet and solve every problem.— London, England.
