I feel it a privilege as well as a duty to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for the benefits received, both mental and physical. I have been studying Christian Science for many years and have had healings too numerous to mention. My first healing was of smallpox several years ago. The health officers said that they could not take down the quarantine sign for six weeks and that the practitioner could not come to the house, so she had to give me absent treatment. In three weeks the health officers came again and were much surprised to find me healed and said the card could come down.
How I would love to tell of the spiritual blessings that came, but it would take too long. Some time later I suffered three days and nights from what we supposed was inflammatory rheumatism. I telephoned to a practitioner for help and was cured in one treatment. Last winter I had a severe case of grip and with the help of a practitioner I was healed in three treatments. Through the application of my understanding of Christian Science I have been healed of burns, pleurisy, and a number of minor ailments that I never named. I have also been healed of measles and whooping cough. I am so grateful for the Sentinel and Journal and look to them as my daily food along with the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.— McPherson, Kansas.
