With a deep sense of gratitude to God and to Mrs. Eddy, I should like to testify to the great blessings which the teachings of Christian Science have brought to my family and me. Not only have severe diseases been healed through Christian Science, but it has been a reliable guide on other occasions. I have learned to know that God is ever present Love, whose nearness I have often felt; for many times in my moments of despair His strong arm has led me, and the light of Truth has illumined my consciousness, dispelling the darkness and destroying error. It was the fact that "life is hid with Christ in God," —that in Him only we find health and strength,—which, after years of struggle, healed me of severe so-called incurable heart, stomach, intestinal, liver, and kidney troubles. I had often been an inmate of well-known sanitariums; had been under the care of eminent physicians; had received temporary relief, but never healing. My condition was and had remained a puzzle to every physician. Now, I know that only God can help, and that He is unchanging Love. This Love helps every one of us when, following the example of Jesus the Christ, we try to live in sincere obedience to our heavenly Father.
It is a happy and uplifting thought to know that the sense of safety which I have gained, after faithful study of Christian Science, cannot be taken from me. Praise is due to God alone for all the good which we are enjoying, and endless gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for her humility and self-sacrificing devotion, which enabled her to receive the divine revelation and to show sinning humanity the way to deliverance.— Berlin-Charlottenburg, Germany.
