Christian Science has brought to me health and happiness. Six and a half years ago I was a very sick man. I had lost in weight, and was pale and sickly looking. I thought I could not live. I tried every material remedy suggested by friends and physicians. At a time when my case seemed hopeless and I did not know which way to turn, I met a business friend on the street who knew something of what I was doing in an attempt to regain my health. I told him I was on my way to see my doctor. He said: "You do not need a doctor. If you will stop dieting, and gymnasium, and quit taking medicine you will get well; and the best way I know of to do this is through Christian Science." He then told me of his wonderful healing.
I had never been in a Christian Science church, nor do I remember having read anything concerning Christian Science. My friend told me of a Christian Science practitioner, and within one hour I was having my first Christian Science treatment. While receiving the treatment I prayed to God for wisdom that I might understand Christian Science. I was immediately healed of dizziness, which I had suffered from for eight months; also the smoking habit was at the same time destroyed. Since then I have been healed of stomach and bowel trouble, from which I had suffered for many years. I have also been healed of the medicine habit, and have not taken a drop of medicine of any kind since my first treatment. Before taking up the study of Christian Science, I was a sufferer from sciatic rheumatism and tonsillitis, the attacks being frequent; but I have had no return of either in six and a half years.
I am most grateful for these healings, but even more grateful for the spiritual uplift which comes to one through the daily study of Christian Science. I am now enjoying the best of health.—Buffalo, N. Y.
