I desire to express my gratitude...

From the July 1922 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I desire to express my gratitude for Christian Science, and for the peace and happiness that have come into my experience through a better understanding of God as Life, Truth, and Love. Nine years ago I was in a state of semi-invalidism, under the constant care of physicians, who could give me only temporary relief, and no hope of my being any stronger. A brother wrote telling me of a healing he had received through Christian Science; and I attended a Christian Science lecture to find out what could have helped him. I came away convinced of the truth of the lecturer's statements, and borrowed the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. While reading, I was perfectly healed of physical difficulties that had troubled me for years, and for which I had always taken drugs. Still being weak, and wishing very much to understand how the healing work was accomplished, I asked a practitioner for help. From that time I have turned unreservedly to Christian Science for help in every time of need. I have been healed among other things of serious heart trouble, hay fever, and fits of depression. I am now strong and healthy, rejoicing daily in a God that I can love and serve wholeheartedly.

I am so grateful for the light the study of the textbook throws upon the Bible; it has indeed proved to be the "Key to the Scriptures" to me. I am most thankful to God, to Christ Jesus the Way-shower, and to Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader, for this revelation of Truth.—
