God is my strength and my life, an ever present help in time of trouble. This was not realized by me until I learned it through the understanding of Truth, as taught by Christian Science.
Nearly eight years ago I suffered for weeks with neuritis. The pain in my arm and chest was almost unbearable. Two physicians had failed to cure me. After attending a Wednesday evening meeting, I decided to ask help of a Christian Science practitioner. I shall never forget the freedom from pain, and the happiness I felt as I left the practitioner's office. I was quickly and permanently healed; for which I felt extremely grateful.
Soon after that healing I bought "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. That, and the Bible, have been my everyday help since. I have received other healings, as have also my children. Many times at night, when our little girl and boy have manifested fever, I have called the practitioner, and they have received help immediately, and by morning they would be normal. This great fear of fever, as well as many other fears, has been overcome by Truth, and by knowing that "in him we live, and move, and have our being."—Lakeport, N. H.
