Nine years ago I had my first Christian Science treatment. Like many others I came to Christian Science for physical healing. I had undergone a very serious operation, after which I was much worse than before. I had a friend who was healed by Christian Science treatment, so she gave me the name of the practitioner she had had. We went to see the practitioner, and help was received at that time; but, not understanding anything of Christian Science, I did not gain rapidly. Then we had another practitioner, and still another; and finally the help and understanding became steady and sure. I was healed of severe mental trouble, nervous prostration, heart trouble, also of a large lump on one side of my throat.
My husband was healed in one treatment of boils, which he had been troubled with every year for several years; many times the physicians would have to cut them out. Our boy was healed of a hacking cough he had had for more than a year, in only a few treatments. Our baby was healed of severe burns in one week; also of measles, whooping cough, and bowel disorder.
I am more grateful for Christian Science than I can tell; grateful to God for our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy; and so grateful for the spiritual uplift which the study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," gives us. I am grateful to the practitioner who helped us so much over the seemingly rough places. Each day I am more determined to be about "my Father's business."— Sturgis, Mich.
