I am deeply grateful for the healing my mother relates, which brought us into Christian Science many years ago. I am glad that Mrs. Eddy was so gentle and so unselfish that she was able to give us such a practical religion; it matters not where we are or what we may be doing, it helps us in every way.
It is such a satisfaction to me to know that I have a good foundation for time to come, because of having had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School for some seventeen years; and I find it very interesting, in turn, to be able to help the other children to receive the right kind of instruction in the Sunday school. When quite small I did not appreciate so much the things I now know; but J find, as I grow older, that Christian Science is very helpful in every way.
When, a few years ago, I took up telegraphy, I had to pass a physical examination before I could enter the school where it was taught. A few months previously I had had an attack of inflammatory rheumatism, but through the help of a Christian Science practitioner and my mother's constant care, I was healed so completely that when examined by the company physician I was passed successfully. Christian Science has made a different person of me altogether, because where I was once sickly, now I reflect health and happiness.
How much Christian Scientists have to be grateful for when they but stop to count their blessings! Mrs. Eddy has given us the Church Manual. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and our Christian Science periodicals, including a wonderful newspaper, all of which are a constant blessing to all mankind, in proportion as they partake of even a crumb of the truth which these reveal.— Kansas City, Mo.
