I have received much joy and help in reading the testimonies of healing, and should love to give mine, hoping it may bring comfort and healing to others.
The first time I heard of Christian Science a dear niece, who had been a great sufferer, called at our home and told us of her healing in Christian Science. A little later, a very discordant condition manifested itself, and I wondered if Christian Science could heal it. Our family physician was consulted, and pronounced it a cancerous tumor. He advised an operation at once, and made arrangements for me to go to a hospital on Saturday. On Thursday the same niece called again, and asked me to think it over before having an operation. She proposed my going to her home and having Christian Science treatment. I was not long in deciding, as I did not wish to be operated on. I went to her home, and a practitioner was called. I asked her if Christian Science could heal me, and her reply was, "There is no cause or necessity for this false condition, because God never created it; therefore it can be destroyed through the right understanding of God and your relation to Him." The practitioner always encouraged me to keep rejoicing. At the end of the third week I felt I was healed, and have enjoyed perfect health ever since. This healing took place over six years ago.
I am very grateful for what Christian Science has done and is doing every day for my dear husband in so many ways; also for my dear son, who is a very earnest student of Christian Science, and has been and is protected every day.— Roxbury, Mass.
