It gives me great pleasure to give the testimony of my healing of a very severe attack of pneumonia. I had not been feeling well for some time, though had not called for the help of a Christian Science practitioner, as I had previously been able to do my own Science work. This was a problem, however, I did not seem able to solve, and I became seriously ill. I seemed conscious of my suffering, though not of what went on around me. The lady of the house, who was interested in Christian Science, heard me and came to my room. She realized at once that I needed help, and asked if she should call a practitioner. When I realized what was said, I answered, Yes. In a short time the practitioner was at my bedside. She remained a while, and said she would treat me that day. In a short time I was easier. The next morning the practitioner came again; and as I was still in a serious condition, she continued working for me. By evening I was much better. It was wonderful the way my lungs cleared up, without any effort on my part. The second evening I was quite comfortable; and the third day I was out in the living room.
I am very thankful to God for this healing, and for all the help I have had in many other ways. Indeed, I have not words to express the gratitude I feel to-day for the many blessings that have come to me through Christian Science. The physical healing is but a small part: the spiritual unfolding and uplifting is the "pearl of great price."— Bellingham, Wash.
