With the help of a Christian Science practitioner I was healed of smoking, drinking, and the use of profanity the second week after I began treatment. The Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, began to unfold their treasures to me; that is, the spiritual significance of incidents and sayings was revealed, showing me the purpose and ultimate of life as spiritual, not material. I was instantly healed of a severe attack of influenza during the epidemic three years ago; and many other troubles have been overcome in my work, making life more worth while.
I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and for the opportunity of serving as usher in our local church. When I apply this understanding to my daily problems, of whatever nature, I am able to prove in some degree an harmonious spiritual condition in place of discord. In loving gratitude for God's revelation of Truth to us through Christ Jesus and Mrs. Eddy, and acknowledging the faithful help of practitioners and friends, I submit my testimony.— Chicago, Ill.
