"THY WILL BE DONE"

From the January 1924 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Forgiving Spirit, Love divine,
I rest my trembling hand in Thine.
Thou art the Light,
The Truth, the might
Of law, whose will is right.
Grant me to know that Thine is mine.

And in this knowing may I feel,
In place of overeager zeal,
Spontaneous zest,
The heart-sought rest
Which owneth that Thy will is best,
Since Love supplies the true and real.

And may my thought with Love expand
To take my brother by the hand,
All wrongs forget;
So may I let
False human will for both be met
With Love's own perfect reprimand.
