To say that I am profoundly grateful for all the blessings that have come to me through the application of Christian Science seems quite inadequate to express my feelings. It is with the hope that others may benefit by my experience that I relate the facts connected with the complete healing of a so-called hopeless physical condition.
For about two years I had been suffering from what medical opinion termed a severe nervous breakdown, which was said to have been caused by overwork and overplay. I was confined to my bed for nearly five months. Although several physicians made every effort to alleviate my condition, I continued to grow worse. When my suffering seemed to become unbearable, two medical doctors of standing were consulted. They diagnosed the case as myelitis, an inflammatory state of the spinal cord, to mortal sense extremely painful and declared by medical practitioners to be incurable. It was said that I could live only about one month more.
After these hopeless pronouncements were made, a Christian Science practitioner was called in and treatment begun. I was then moved to the home of a loving Christian Science family, and in about three months was completely restored to health, happiness, and activity. I have since undergone medical examination and have been pronounced absolutely sound. I have also experienced physical hardships without any bad effect.
