With a heart grateful to the almighty Father I testify to the divine healing power.
While cleaning my house I sustained an injury to my left hand. In the night I suddenly awoke with severe pain, and felt that the hand was swollen. In spite of this, I did my work undisturbed the next morning, with the consciousness that God is All, and that His love surrounds me. It was Wednesday, and in the evening I wanted to go to the Wednesday evening testimony meeting, but was not able to dress myself. A gathering had formed under my arm, and all the symptoms of blood poisoning were apparent. When my husband came home from work, he was greatly alarmed, and asked me if I would not call in a doctor. I immediately said, "No." I worked to the best of my understanding, as we are taught in Christian Science. But as I did not improve, my husband asked a Christian Science practitioner for treatment that evening. This was lovingly given. The very same hour all pain left me, and I could move my arm and finger again. I slept all night, and the next morning the gathering under the arm and the swelling on the arm had disappeared. In a few days everything was normal again; all had been overcome in a wonderful manner.
I thank God for this blessing. I am also sincerely grateful to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for she has revealed to us anew the way of Truth, the Christ-way. I am also very grateful for the spiritual uplift which has come to me in Christian Science. I know now that God, good, is ever present, and that divine Love directs our steps and supplies our need if we trust in it.
