Christian Science came into my life when I was quite young through some loved ones. Being young I did not read Christian Science literature as I should have; but my mother and I read the Lesson-Sermon. Outside of that I did not do any other reading of the literature. I went along this way until I reached my teens; then I went through "the valley of the shadow of death." It was necessary for me to take one thing or the other, Christian Science or a physician.
I had to be taken out of school, and as my mother and I were so young in Christian Science, she called a physician. My loved ones would have a physician for a time; then they would have Christian Science. But I wished something would take place one way or the other; and it did My dear grandmother asked me to go to her home. When I reached my grandmother's the material help was discontinued, and again a Christian Science practitioner was called. The healing work was taken up at once, and I was healed in one week. It was voiced by one of my loved ones that I was not going to live long. But I am very much alive to-day, and enjoying good health besides. The healing which I had was of fainting spells, and after this healing my memory came back to me.
After this experience I took up the study of Christian Science and received more beautiful healings, such as laying aside glasses, overcoming a tendency to nosebleed, and many more which would take too long to write about and name each and every one of them. For all of them I am very, very grateful.
