Under conditions most distressing to human sense, the power of Truth was demonstrated to me, following the promise, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." This promise was fulfilled through the very patient and loving help of a practitioner, and I was lifted out of and apart from these seeming inharmonies.
It was not a question of improving these conditions, but of my own spiritual progress in the truth that only the right is real and right is might. I did not begin the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy for healing; but after reading the book for some time it became evident that before a clearer sense of the spirit of Truth could be manifest, I must know and demonstrate in some degree the nothingness of matter and the allness of Spirit, that the revelations of the "key" to the Scriptures might be further assimilated.
Without any forewarning, it seemed that a veritable whirlwind of evils which I had experienced in the past came again for recognition or destruction. I was bewildered, but have since learned that it was Truth's upheaval, which our Leader terms "chemicalization."
