After thirteen years of study in Christian Science, having had many healings through it, I feel that I must express some of my gratitude to God for His loving care, which, through Mrs. Eddy's life and works, has been made available for me and for all mankind.
My attention was called to Christian Science through the healing of a four-year-old boy in our family, who, in spite of the efforts of ten doctors, was declared to be dying of tubercular spinal meningitis. The last two consulting physicians said that the child had but an hour to live. As these men left the house, we were called to the telephone by a Christian Scientist, an old friend, who said that it was not too late to ask for Christian Science help, and told us of a practitioner in the neighborhood. Willing to try anything at such a time, we called for help. In less than an hour the little boy slept, and the fever was gone. Two weeks later he was up and dressed, and the healing was soon complete.
Shortly after this experience I was attacked by grippe and asked for help from Christian Science instead of the family physician. In thirtysix hours I was so entirely healed that I suddenly rose from my bed, feeling in the best of health, and joined the family at dinner, much to their surprise. Since that day I have relied upon Christian Science.
