A VICTORIOUS ARMY

From the August 1932 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"Like a mighty army,
Moves the Church of God."

The Bible and the works of Mary Baker Eddy show the methods by which true victories can be obtained—individual and collective victories over every obstacle to spiritual harmony. These books teach the way of a mighty overcoming of all that would becloud a complete realization of the allness of God. The Church of Christ, Scientist, is built up upon victories. The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel, published by The Christian Science Publishing Society, contain in each issue testimonies of victories over sorrow, disease, and inharmony obtained by the correct application of the teachings of Christian Science to the seeming problem.

Christ Jesus, during his short ministry, proved by his understanding of God, divine Principle, that every experience was an opportunity for victory over evil. Jesus' victories were not delayed, because he was always conscious of his unity with his Father-Mother God. His was a consciousness of salvation at hand. He almost invariably immediately brought to light victory over every phase of the carnal mind that presented itself, sin, disease, and death fleeing before his spirituality, thereby proving that defeat and delay are merely part of the Adam-dream, having no reality. To the great Teacher time was not a factor in the healing process; the present was to him the time in which to know that in the infinitude of good there is no evil. "Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord."
