God is our Father, whose love never faileth; Safe in His presence His children can rest, As when a nestling in the warm feathers Quietly sleeps 'neath its mother's warm breast. Safe in God's gentleness, all the world leaving, Love surges round and each little one keeps, Though we may dream that we wander in deserts, God never slumbers, and God never sleeps.
