ASSURANCE

From the August 1932 issue of The Christian Science Journal

God is our Father, whose love never faileth;
Safe in His presence His children can rest,
As when a nestling in the warm feathers
Quietly sleeps 'neath its mother's warm breast.

Safe in God's gentleness, all the world leaving,
Love surges round and each little one keeps,
Though we may dream that we wander in deserts,
God never slumbers, and God never sleeps.

Held in the Love which is Father and Mother,
We God's unlimited tenderness feel!
Here with such confidence we leave our brother!
Spirit enfolds all, and Truth and Love heal.
