I am grateful for this opportunity to testify to the healing power of Christian Science.
My first healing was of a severe impediment of the speech that I had had since learning to talk. I knew nothing of Christian Science, but was told that it would heal me. I was very skeptical of this, having tried many methods of cure for this condition. I did not seek help for this trouble, but for another difficulty, and was healed of both this, and the stuttering, in one treatment.
As my eyes were not sufficiently opened, however, I wandered around in the pathways of mortal mind for three years, trying in a material way to understand my healing. During a severe trial I turned to the Comforter, Christian Science, and was indeed comforted. Since then Christian Science has met all my needs, and they have been many. I have been healed of a tendency to colds which had troubled me greatly since childhood. About eight years ago I had night sweats and fever for about three months. I tried to get my healing with my own understanding of Truth, but finally sought aid of a practitioner, and was healed in two weeks. The condition has never returned.
