Testimonies of Healing

I should like to express my gratitude...

From the September 1932 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science, and for the lessons we learn through this divine truth.

One year while skating on an ice rink, I fell, and immediately exclaimed that I had broken my leg. My husband helped me up and assured me I was quite all right. The doctor who was called said there was a fracture, and put the leg in a splint. On arriving home we telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner, and help was lovingly given. The next day, Wednesday, she came to see me. We took the splint off, and that evening with the help of my husband I went to the testimony meeting. I think the practitioner came to see me twice and gave me treatment during that week. The following Monday I returned to business and stood on my feet from nine in the morning until half past seven in the evening. For a few days my husband drove me back and forth in our car, as it took me rather a long time to walk; but in a remarkably short time I was able to walk, and even run, as well as ever.

I am so grateful for this experience, since it taught me to be more watchful. How easy it is if we are only alert enough to put into practice what we know! The next year I fell on the ice again, striking the back of my head. Immediately I knew that I was in the realm of divine law, and could reflect only the real. There were no ill effects whatever, and although before coming into Christian Science I had been subject to bad headaches, I had not the slightest suggestion of one.
