GROWTH

From the September 1932 issue of The Christian Science Journal

OUR beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 520) that "growth is the eternal mandate of Mind." Man is the reflection of God, infinite Spirit, Love. He expresses the one Ego, omnipresent Mind.

Spiritual growth comes through the unfoldment to human consciousness of divine ideas. These ideas are eternal, and are apprehended as mortals lay off the illusion of a life apart from God; as they put off "the old man" and put on "the new."

Christian Science teaches that God is Spirit and man spiritual. Therefore the senses of man are spiritual. As God is the only Mind, there is no mind forming concepts of matter. The spiritual concept of growth is the only true concept. Material growth is fabulous.
