HAPPY THOUGHTS

From the October 1933 issue of The Christian Science Journal

O happy, happy thought, that I am thine
And Thou, the All-inclusive, must be mine!

O happy, restful thought! Where'er I roam,
In consciousness divine I have my home.

O happy, radiant thought, that pangs of night
Are vanquished by the prayer, "Let there be light"!

O happy, healing thought! Though sick I seem,
I can awake and know 'its but a dream.

O happy, peaceful thought, on wings that rise
To leave earth's bickerings and find clear skies!

O happy thought with Spirit's comfort filled,
That naught is real save that which God hath willed!

O happy, wakeful thought when dullness creeps!
Mind ever active slumbers not nor sleeps.

O happy thought and rich! No lack can be!
Man lives in God's abundance, full and free.

O happy thoughts of praise that soar and sing,
And recognize God's hand in everything!

That claim His wisdom and Love's power to bless,
Making earth fairer for their loveliness.
