I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for what it has done for me and mine.
About three years ago a neighbor gave me some Christian Science Sentinels and Journals to read. I was going through a severe mental trouble at that time, and was helped considerably through the love and kindness of this neighbor. I had a very bad case of ivy poisoning, but after a few weeks of suffering, with the help of my neighbor and by knowing the truth that God could and would heal me, I was suddenly healed. I fell downstairs three times, spraining my ankles and receiving other bruises, but in a short time I was completely healed without losing a day from work. In the meantime I had obtained "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. While reading and studying this I was healed of neuritis, rheumatism, and very painful feet. For years I had been uncomfortable while wearing shoes. I was also subject to colds all the time, was afraid of drafts, had catarrh and an obstruction in my nose. This has all been cleared away.
But the most wonderful healing of all was that of a hernia. A doctor called it strangulated hernia and said that I should have to be operated on at once. I had had two extremely severe abdominal operations and would not hear of another one, so I had to wear a brace for more than fourteen years. Over two years ago I knew that God had healed me, so I removed the brace and have not needed it since. Lifelong constipation, for which I had had to take pills every night, was also cured. I have not taken medicine of any kind for over two years. It is a wonderful relief to know that one does not have to have any of these troubles because God never sends them. My husband was cured of intestinal trouble, lumbago, boils, and rheumatism.
