I wish to tell of some of the benefits which have come to me through the study of Christian Science.
I have been healed of indigestion of many years' standing, quinsy, gastritis, biliousness, neuralgia, constipation, insomnia, and worry simply by reading our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." These troubles did not leave me at once, but gradually as I read the book. I did not read this book at first for my own benefit, but I had promised to read it for an hour every day to a girl staying in our home who was having help in Christian Science. This textbook interested me greatly, although I could not understand much of it and often turned to the Bible, thinking that the statements in Science and Health were wrong; but I always found them correct.
What a change it made in our home! For years I had carried on my shoulders a load of worry and responsibility, which dropped off without my being aware of it and just vanished. It seemed like magic, and I could not at first see how reading a book could make such a difference; but I soon found out it was the truth contained therein which had changed my thoughts and set me free.
