MIND'S SUPREME GOVERNMENT

From the February 1933 issue of The Christian Science Journal

KALEIDOSCOPIC changes in human governments indicate mankind's search for that which is productive of national stability, amity, and prosperity. Taken as a whole, the human race seems to be in a whirlpool of material thinking leading to dire consequences, and from this plight only spiritual understanding can extricate it.

On page 267 of "Miscellaneous Writings" Mrs. Eddy writes, "Mankind must gravitate from sense to Soul, and human affairs should be governed by Spirit, intelligent good." Signs of this gravitation are becoming evident. Representatives of nations, exchanging views with or without interpreters, are uniting in sincere search for a common solution of common problems.

Christian Science presents the interpretation of the new tongue of Spirit, through understanding which all human problems may be solved on the basis of the one unerring divine Mind, named God. This Science points the way out of materialism into true idealism; out of strife, suspicion, and misunderstanding into mutual understanding. By exposing to the light of Truth the mental elements leading to warfare and depression, Christian Science lights the way to universal peace and limitless abundance. It is the material sense of limitation which leads to national strife and want.
