THE INFINITE RESOURCES OF SOUL

From the February 1933 issue of The Christian Science Journal

EVERYBODY is searching for happiness, for harmony, for peace. And today, many of those who have endeavored to seek riches in material undertakings, to find happiness in sensuous amusements, and to experience joy in fleeting pleasures are learning the futility, the fruitlessness, of such seeking. True happiness is born of the satisfaction obtained in the search for spiritual living resulting in "the peace of God, which passeth all understanding."

In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 60), "Soul has infinite resources with which to bless mankind, and happiness would be more readily attained and would be more secure in our keeping, if sought in Soul." For this truth, those students of Christian Science who are earnestly striving to demonstrate it are most grateful. In seeking to understand God as Soul we find certain spiritual qualities which, when reflected, bring many blessings into our lives.

When one student of Christian Science, who was asked to devote much time to the study of Soul, learned that man as God's image reflects freedom, her study and her utilization of this God-bestowed freedom liberated her from bondage to a false law or belief which had claimed to control her for nearly twenty years.
