"FOLLOW THOU ME"

From the February 1933 issue of The Christian Science Journal

When I would ask, "Lord, . . . what shall this man do?"
I hear the Master's voice answering anew.
I pause and listen: That is naught to thee,
I am the way; I pray thee, follow me.

O Lord, I thank thee; I will follow thee,
And fret not what another's work shall be,
But with an earnest heart, from envy free,
Shall see the place God has prepared for me.

Another's progress is not my concern,
But clearly man's perfection to discern;
Not what another does along the way,
But God's divine commandments to obey.
