I am truly grateful for Christian Science. The privilege of attending Sunday school has been mine since early childhood. Now I have the privilege of teaching in the Sunday school and of ushering. I realize that there is but one teacher, and that "where two or three are gathered together" in Christ's name there must be unfoldment. Therefore the blessings of the one called "teacher" and the one called "student" are equal.
I value Christian Science for its practicality wherever we are placed. Christian Science has been the means of my finding my place to serve in the business world. One learns the valuable lesson of when to and when not to mention Christian Science among his business associates.
I am grateful for the protective as well as the curative power of Christian Science. The outstanding physical healing in my experience occurred about nine years ago, when I was healed of inflammatory rheumatism. With the help of a practitioner the disease was mastered (its nothingness made apparent) in approximately two weeks, and I returned to school in excellent condition. There has been no return of this trouble. This healing brought with it an object lesson because the trouble was directly traceable to resentment harbored in my thought, and as our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, states in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 201), "The way to extract error from mortal mind is to pour in truth through flood-tides of Love."
