I thank Thee, Lord, for Thy great smiling sky,
For silver rain, for sun and stars on high.
I thank Thee, Lord, that every human need
Is met with prayer Thou never fail'st to heed.
I thank Thee, Lord, for days with blessings filled;
For sin and sorrow healed, and tempests stilled.
I thank Thee, Lord, that I can thankful be,
And feel Thy tender care surrounding me.
I thank Thee, Lord, for Thy protecting power,
And for Thy presence every love-filled hour.
I thank Thee, Lord, for trials and seeming loss
That make me strong and purge me of earth's dross.
I thank Thee, Lord, that I am daily seeing
A closer bond with Thee and my true being.
I thank Thee, Lord, for all unchanging good,
And for Thy healing power–Love understood.
