Testimonies of Healing

When I had had enough of disappointed...

From the March 1933 issue of The Christian Science Journal

[Original testimonies in Swedish]

When I had had enough of disappointed hopes, and when the answer to many questions seemed hopelessly distant, I was brought to Christian Science by a friend. I am deeply grateful for the privilege of hearing of this holy revelation, and for the opportunity of testifying to the truth of Christian Science, which is not a doctrine but Christianity practically applied. Neither is it necessary to ask about this teaching, "Art thou he that should come?" because its proofs are conclusive and refute all discussion.

I am happy to give here a few of the demonstrations which we have experienced in our family. In spite of my honest and serious efforts during nine years before I came to Christian Science, my business was in a hopeless condition, its existence seemingly filling no need. A belief in overproduction and overpowering competition was dominant and constantly disappointed my hopes of success. In our home we were on the verge of ruin on account of economic depression, sickness, and despair. Through the patient and loving guidance of a Christian Science practitioner the business soon became sound and successful. And still more, by a very simple alteration in the manufacturing, it was proved that the goods filled a great need without any competition in the market.
