It is with sincere gratitude that I offer this testimony to the healing power of Truth, as revealed in the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
My first healing was of hernia, from which I had suffered for several years. Doctors and surgeons said they could do nothing for me unless I submitted to an operation. Having lost all faith in materia medica through a previous experience, I could not bring myself to consent to an operation, although I suffered intense pain at times. A "still small voice" whispered to me to try Christian Science. I knew nothing of its teachings, but I called on a practitioner, who explained that God is the only cause and that He is good and does not create sickness. She agreed to help me, and within two months I was entirely free.
My next healing was of constipation, from which I had suffered all my life. Help was again asked for and lovingly given. Within a short time I was healed. Several months later I was able to lay aside glasses which I had worn for fifteen years for astigmatism, and which an eye specialist said I must always wear This was over five years ago, and I never have had to wear them since. This healing came to me through the study of Science and Health. I have also been healed of indigestion burns, and many other ailments.
