THOU ART HERE

From the June 1933 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"Oh! Thou hast heard my prayer;
And I am blest!
This is Thy high behest:—
Thou here, and everywhere."

The revered Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, penned the above words found on page iii of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." As the wealth of truth they contain unfolds in our thought and is lived, confusion melts away, material desires disappear, discontent and unrest fade in the mounting joy and freedom of the realization that God—Life, Truth, and Love—is "here, and everywhere."

There is no place for confusion, unhappiness, or a state of unrest in that consciousness which knows that Mind, with its attributes of peace, protection, activity, and harmony, is omnipresent. Ever present Truth eliminates every claim of error to reality; ever present Love displaces its unlikeness; ever present Life excludes every suggestion of its opposite; for, as Mrs. Eddy says on page 243 of Science and Health, "Truth, Life, and Love are a law of annihilation to everything unlike themselves, because they declare nothing except God." Wherever we are we can witness to the ever-presence of our Father-Mother God; we can reflect Love, Truth, Life, whose light dissolves, eliminates, excludes the mistiness of erroneous belief. More invigorating than a breath of air from a fragrant pine forest is the freedom experienced.
