DEFINITION

From the March 1934 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The Christ-thought is the true thought,
That knows eternal life;
That dissipates the sense-dream;
That banishes all strife.

The Christ-thought is the pure thought,
That cleanses from all sin;
That purifies our motives,
And lets God's sunshine in.

The Christ-thought is the clear thought,
That drives earth's darkness out;
That scatters every shadow;
That silences all doubt.

The Christ-thought is the strong thought,
That conquers every ill;
Inspires to demonstration;
Fulfills Love's perfect will.

To heights sublime it lifts us;
Reveals God's perfect son;
Unfolds the truth of being;
Declares His will is done.
