Testimonies of Healing

It is with my most sincere thanks...

From the March 1934 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It is with my most sincere thanks to Christian Science that I send this testimony. I have known of this Science for nine years, and my thoughts have been so uplifted by the understanding of God and His perfect creation that I am daily realizing my birthright of complete health. Hemorrhoids, heart trouble, nervous trouble, boils, burns, rheumatism, whetlows, unjust condemnation, and many other discords have been healed with this wonderful truth. I am daily knowing that God is my only source of supply, and that He is our Father-Mother, whose love is without limit.

The demonstration over lack stands out very prominently in my life. About three years ago I was out of a position and almost penniless. I had taken all the material steps possible to obtain a post as companion, but without any success. With the loving help of a practitioner I was able to see that I must continually lean on our Father-Mother God, and leave all to Him. I turned afresh to the study of the Bible and Science and Health, together with our Leader's other writings. The words from Science and Health (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need," and from "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 307), "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies," were a great help to me. After I had pondered these words, and endeavored to realize their verity, a way opened up for me, and a position and home were obtained where I am very happy.

I express my deepest thanks to God for His loving protection, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to our Leader for her wonderful legacy to us of Science and Health. I am also grateful for class instruction, for the great privilege of membership in The Mother Church and in a Christian Science Society; and for the faithful work of practitioners in the Field, as well as for the lectures. My prayer is that I may help others as I have been helped.—
