Many years of living in thought with sin, sickness, and death, all of which had deeply impressed themselves upon me as being real, brought about many discordant conditions of the body. Daily I had a sincere desire to be lifted out of this seeming pit in order that I might know life aright and enjoy happiness, and it was proved to me that right desire is prayer and is answered.
My first understanding of Christian Science came through the reading of a Sentinel, followed by the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which I read with an open thought and a deep desire to understand this new revelation. As I studied and applied this truth, in both thought and deed, one by one the erroneous conditions of thought were corrected. Among many healings were those of grief, constant headaches, grippe, crumbly teeth, severe stomach disorders, and a so-called chronic weakness, believed to have been inherited, for which I had been receiving medical treatments regularly for a period of about three years with little or no improvement.
I am grateful for the reformation of my thought, for spiritual inspiration, and for each opportunity of demonstrating God's allness for myself and others. I am happy to have the privilege of being a member of The Mother Church and a branch church, also for their activities, which have brought growth and understanding to me. The authorized literature is a blessing to us all. I wish to take this opportunity to thank those who have so lovingly aided me in my growth.
