"COME; FOR ALL THINGS ARE NOW READY"

From the November 1935 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In a well-known parable recorded by Luke, Christ Jesus describes how "a certain man made a great supper, and bade many: and sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready." Today, the voice of the Comforter may be heard bidding humankind to leave the cares of materiality, come to the feast prepared by divine Love, and find satisfying sustenance in the goodness of spiritual being.

This voice of the Comforter speaks to us through every page of the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. It is uttered in the Lesson-sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, which are read in Christian Science churches and societies throughout the world every Sunday. The truth it reveals is taught in every Christian Science Sunday School, expressed at every Wednesday testimony meeting of our denomination, expounded in our periodicals, studied in every Christian Science Reading Room, declared in every Christian Science treatment, propounded in every authorized Christian Science lecture, sounded in every thought, word, and deed that bespeaks Love's infinitude, and reiterates Love's compassionate invitation.

All are bidden to be Love's guests. None are excluded. "The poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind" are invited to come and partake of the goodness of Life and Truth. All may share in the abundance of salvation through spiritual understanding, and enjoy the Father's provision of health, goodness, and immortality for His children. The healing message of Christian Science is ready for all who will listen. No distinction is made between person, vocation, race, age, or social position. In tender solicitude the ever-present Christ ministers to each guest of the Father in accordance with individual need. Infinite good is the host whose boundless stores are adequate for all human wants, physical and moral, economic and political, national and international. Love's omnipotence, omnipresence, and omniscience leave no room for doubting the ever-availability and all-sufficiency of good. The salvation which divine Love offers to mankind in the revelation of Christian Science is complete; hence it leaves no one uncared for.
